How I can I defend myself and stay within the law?

This is one of the main questions that present themselves when people talk about self defence. There is a misconception that you can’t defend yourself in the UK. This simply isn’t true. What the issue is people go too far. They punish their attacker and this get’s them into hot water.

Good combatives instructors will teach people reasonable force through scenarios and not necessarily a awareness of the laws. After all, it’s the ability to assess every situation, do no more than necessary  and escape. This is practiced over & over.

But there are many questions that people generally have. Such as can you use weapons? What can you do to defend your home?

This course is delivered by Mark Dawes of the National Federation of Personal Safety (NFPS). With his wealth of knowledge, legal contacts and being a go to expert witness in use of force cases, this course will settle the answers and make you feel more comfortable defending yourself and legally articulating your decisions.
